Designed for commercial and residential outdoor security applications requiring clear 1080p Full HD video combined with ambient audio capture and intelligent nighttime illumination, the Dahua HAC-HFW1200CLP-IL-A delivers 2-megapixel resolution ($1920 \times 1080$) at up to 30 frames per second over standard coaxial or UTP cabling.

The core operational highlight of the camera is Dahua's Smart Dual Light mechanism. In zero-lux pitch darkness, the camera remains in discreet infrared mode to avoid unwanted light pollution. When paired with an AI-enabled XVR (such as Dahua WizSense series featuring SMD Plus or Perimeter Protection), the camera automatically illuminates its warm white supplemental LEDs upon detecting a human or vehicle target within the monitored zone. This provides vivid full-color video to accurately capture essential evidentiary details like clothing colors, vehicle paint tones, and facial characteristics. Once the target leaves the detection zone, the camera automatically switches back to infrared illumination.

The optical assembly offers two focal lengths: an ultra-wide 2.8mm lens delivering an expansive $102.0^\circ$ horizontal field of view ($129.0^\circ$ diagonal) for wide perimeter coverage, or a standard 3.6mm lens ($83.0^\circ$ horizontal FOV) tailored for driveways, entry gates, and narrow property corridors.
